$10,000 IN FEDERAL FUNDING EXTENDED TO NASHDALE LIDSTER PUBLIC HALL PROJECT

The Nashdale Public School P&C Association has received a $10,000 grant through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Programme for the extension of the Nashdale Lidster Public Hall.

Federal Member for Calare, Andrew Gee was at the hall to announce the funding and to see the work being carried out on the project.

“The Nashdale Lidster Public Hall plays an important role in the community as it is used by a range of organisations including the local CWA Branch, Nashdale Sport and Social Club and Nashdale Public School,” Mr Gee said.

“I’m delighted the Nashdale Public School P&C Association has received a $10,000 grant through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Programme to help with outdoor upgrades of the hall.

“Work is already underway as the slab has been laid and in the coming weeks a new covered area will be built and landscaping will be carried out around the BBQ area.  I can’t wait to see the finished product.”

The Federal Government committed $22.5 million to Round Four 4 of the Stronger Communities Programme in the 2018-19 Budget, including $150,000 towards projects in the Calare electorate.
