Federal Member for Calare, Andrew Gee today announced $5,000 for the Gulgong RSL Sub Branch through the Federal Government’s Volunteer Grants program.
“The Gulgong RSL Sub Branch is currently setting up an office at the Military Museum so this grant will go towards new computer and office equipment and also kitchen appliances.
“Members of the Sub Branch will also be reimbursed for fuel and training costs for attending events like the Annual State Congress of RSL NSW and undertaking training for the Suicide Prevention Course at their own expense.
“Volunteering has a strong presence throughout Calare and I’m delighted the Federal Government is supporting the organisations that continue to support us.”
The Australian Government has invested $20 million in Volunteer Grants 2018 in recognition of the valuable role volunteers play in building more resilient and cohesive communities and supporting individual participation in community life.
