Federal Member for Calare, Andrew Gee has today used a 90-second statement on the floor of Parliament to provide an update on the push for the Murray Darling Medical School (MDMS).
Mr Gee outlined in his speech details of the recently released report prepared by PPB Advisory, which found that the Murray Darling Medical School would help solve doctor shortages in regional NSW by providing around 90 doctors to the regions each year.
“While I believe the case for the Murray Darling Medical School was clear before, the commissioning of this report really cements the need for the School to be established,” Mr Gee said.
“The report provides a compelling case for the MDMS and I am continuing to take advantage of parliamentary sitting weeks to pound the corridors and raise the need for the medical school with as many Ministers as possible.
“The time for the Murray Darling Medical School has come, and we won’t be backing down.”
