SCHOOLS IN REGION TO BENEFIT FROM FEDERAL FUNDING

A total of 35 projects at schools in the Calare electorate are set to benefit students and the community.

Member for Calare, Andrew Gee, said the Australian Government was providing $200,000 to fund projects from Wattle Flat to Wellington.

“The Australian Government recognises the important role schools play in our community and that’s why we’re funding small projects that will make a big difference at our local schools,” Mr Gee said.

“The school communities across our region nominated the projects they most wanted and the Australian Government stepped up with funding support through the Coalition Government’s $30.2 million Local Schools Community Fund.

“These local school projects will go a long way in helping our students and the local school community in Calare when they are completed next year.”
