Parliamentary Business
As your federal MP in the Australian House of Representatives, I participate in voting on bills during parliamentary sessions. The votes I cast on behalf of our electorate, combined with the votes of other federal MP’s, plays a pivotal role in shaping legislation and making meaningful impacts for the future of our electorate.
As an independent member every vote is a conscious one, free from party constraints.
Independent and unbound by party obligations, I fiercely advocate for Calare's needs.
As an independant member, I can listen to issues that are important to Calares consitiuents and take real action. I recently introduced Bills into Parliament such as the Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Foreign Entities Bill 2024 and the Reducing Supermarket Dominance Bill 2024, despite major party opposition. I also drove the launch of an inquiry into insurers treatment and coverage of policy holders affecting those that were impacted in the floods in our region in 2022.
